Do the cracks in your Asphalt – blacktop driveway serve as a haven for lovely (or not so lovely) weeds? Have you ever been scared after tripping over a near pothole in your driveway? Before those cracks develop into significant potholes that could ruin the shape and durability of your driveway, it’s critical to fix them for good.

Clean The Cracks: Get rid of the unwanted weeds to start the repair process. With your hands, pull them up as much as you can. Moreover, you must remove any debris that may have amassed in the crack. Clean the cracks thoroughly using a pressure washer or a garden hose with a powerful spray. Let the area dry out.

Use Weed Killer: Even the best patching can be undone by unwanted weeds that can regrow to negate all your efforts. By applying weed killer to the crack, you can avoid this problem. To determine how long to wait before continuing, read the manufacturer’s instructions on the weed killer.

Patch Up Tiny cracks: Fill the gap with the crack filler solution if the crack is less than 1/2 inch wide. All you have to do is to open the tube, apply pressure to the crack’s base with the tip, and squeeze the plunger. Fill the crack with the solution until it covers the Asphalt base. Smooth it up with a piece of cloth.

Apply Patching Compound: Use premium patching material to cover and conceal the crack.

Seal the repaired area with a sealant: Use a high-quality sealant to cover the cracks on your driveway or pavement. You should apply the sealant according to the manufacturer’s instructions
